Preparation material
Just as lawyers brief themselves on their next case so, too, professional interpreters always prepare carefully in terms of content and terminology for each new assignment. Conference organisers can help by making the full range of relevant documentation available:
- Agenda
- List of speakers (possibly with short c.v.)
- List of participants
- All the documents sent out to participants
- Speech texts
- Presentations (PPT slides etc.)
- Background information (brochures, annual reports, minutes of last meeting etc.)
If documents are to be distributed during the meeting, please remember to give them to the interpreters before the start - in the relevant languages, if available.
